Application: Cell Therapy Animal Model
Imaging of angiogenic response through intramuscular injection of cell therapy in a hind limb ischemia animal model
Abstract
The purpose of this experiment is to observe the angiogenic effects of Endothelial Progenitor Cells (EPC) in a hind limb ischemia model induced by vascular cutting. The focus on angiogenesis involves monitoring the flow of blood through the newly formed vessels over time after EPC administration.
Therapeutic Target(s)
The treatment involves the intramuscular injection of cell therapy to monitor the progression of new blood vessel formation around the cut vessels over time and to verify the flow of blood through these newly formed vessels. The cut area no longer allows blood flow, so the key point is to image the areas where blood flow occurs as new vessels are generated.
Mouse Model
The efficacy evaluation of cell therapy using a hind limb ischemia animal model is optimized for assessing the vascular regeneration capabilities of endothelial progenitor cells, given their characteristics as vascular endothelial precursors.
